Our Story

Craftsmanship, Safety & Honesty at the Heart of Every Job

Barlow Chimney Inc was founded on an unwavering commitment: to elevate chimney maintenance from a neglected chore to a premier safety discipline. Over the years, we have built a reputation among Marin County homeowners as the most reliable, transparent, and meticulous chimney service in the region.

Operating out of our central facility at 389 Miller Ave, Mill Valley, CA 94941, our certified crews understand the unique architectural features of California homes—from classic mid-century redwoods and historic brick fireplaces to contemporary zero-clearance venting systems.

We know that inviting a service contractor onto your roof and into your living room requires immense trust. That is why every member of our team is fully vetted, background-checked, and trained in modern dustless HEPA extraction techniques. When Barlow Chimney works in your home, you enjoy absolute peace of mind.

Quality Standards

The Four Pillars of Quality Service

We operate according to stringent safety codes, modern diagnostic engineering, and a mess-free guarantee that sets us apart from conventional sweeps.

1. Rigorous Safety Protocols

All inspections follow NFPA 211 standards. We never cut corners. We inspect the damper, smoke shelf, firebox, flue tiles, spark arrestor, and roof flashing thoroughly.

2. Zero-Mess Cleanliness Guarantee

We use industrial HEPA vacuums with three stages of filtration and heavy-gauge drop cloths. Your hardwood floors, carpets, and furnishings remain spotless.

3. Digital Evidence & Transparency

We document everything with closed-circuit cameras. If your chimney needs a repair, you will see high-resolution imagery and understand exactly why it is required.

4. Genuine Customer Care

We treat your residence like our own home. From punctual arrivals to friendly follow-ups, our focus is building a lasting relationship as your family's chimney partner.
